Volleyball Team Oust Storm 3-0

The Tiffin University volleyball team cruised past Lake Erie to take all three sets 25-15, 25-12, 25-22. 

The Dragons (3-0, 3-0 GMAC) posted a .214 hitting percentage compared to the Storm (1-1, 1-1 GMAC) who had a .071 hitting percentage. 

In the first set Tiffin jumped out to a 10-5 lead but Lake Erie scored the next four points to come within one of the Dragons 10-9. The Dragons would score five straight points with two kills by Alicia Kessler and one from Grace Schreiber to lead 16-10. The Dragons outscored the Storm the rest of the set 9-5 to take the first set 25-15.

Tiffin fell behind 6-2 early in the second set but would go on to score 12 unanswered points to lead 14-6. The Dragons stayed hot, going on a second run with six unanswered points to lead 21-8. A kill from Kyley Keene ended the second set 25-12.

After going down 4-0 early Lake Erie fought back to lead 11-10, but a 4-0 run from the Dragons opened up Tiffin's lead, 15-12. Lake Erie countered and outscored the Dragons 6-2 to lead 18-17. The Dragons' offense scored six straight points to lead 23-18 and a kill by Alivia Rew ended the third set 25-22. 

Grace Schreiber led the Dragons with 12.5 points with eight kills and a .412 hitting percentage, along with four digs, three blocks, and three service aces. Zion Richardson recorded 9.5 points with nine kills and a .471 hitting percentage along with two digs and one block assist. 

Alivia Rew registered nine points with eight kills and a .143 hitting percentage, notched four digs, and two block assists, and teammate Alicia Kessler tallied 8.5 points on eight kills with a .208 hitting percentage, had five digs, and one block assist.

Loryn Huffman led the team in assists and digs with 36 assists and 14 digs on the night.
