The Tiffin University volleyball team will host Lake Erie on Tuesday, Feb. 2 in a 7:00 p.m. start. Next, the squad will face conference foe Walsh on Friday, Feb. 5 at 7:00 p.m.

Dragon Details:

Tiffin has had a fine start to the 2020-21 season with two wins against Ursuline and Trevecca Nazarene. 

The Dragons are fourth in the conference in assists and sit fifth in the conference in digs per set averaging 18.6.

Alicia Kessler ranks tenth in the conference in kills per set averaging 3.13 and teammate Grace Schreiber is sixth in the conference in hitting percentage at .348.

Loryn Huffman is second in the conference in assists averaging 10.38 per set. Sam Fallis leads the conference in digs with 6.38 per set and is tenth in the conference in service aces at .50 per set. 

 

Scouting the Storm: 

The Storm are 1-0 on the season with their win coming against Ohio Valley.

Lake Erie is ranked first in the conference in hitting percentage at .254, fourth in kills at 13.0 per set, and first in the conference in service aces with 3.0 per set. 

Kariema Rodriguez leads the Storm ranked first in the conference in kills per set with 4.75, fourth in hitting percentage at .368, and points with 4.88 pet set. 

Dora Olah ranks first in the conference in service aces at 1.5 per set and ninth in the conference in assists with 5.50 per set. Alana Stevens ranks second in the conference in service aces with 1.0 per set and teammate Maria Blatnik is ranked second in the conference in blocks with 1.25 per set. 

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Storm 12-2, with their last meeting on Sept. 27, 2019 when the Dragons won 3-0.

 

Scouting the Cavaliers:

Walsh is 3-1 over their last four games with wins over Cedarville, Ohio Valley and Findlay. 

The Cavaliers come into the game ranked third in the conference in hitting percentage at .225, third in kills at 13.0 per set, third in digs at 18.93 per set, and fourth in blocks with 1.63 per set.

Olivia Maczuzak leads the Cavaliers with 3.64 kills per set, good for sixth in the conference, and eighth in the conference in points with 3.89 per set.

Olivia Kearns is third in the conference in assists at 9.83 per set and teammate Natalie Bruscher ranks fifth in the conference in digs with 4.86 per set. 

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Cavaliers 9-3, with their last meeting coming on Nov. 22, 2019. The Dragons took a 3-1 win.
