Dragons Compete at Multiple Meets

 The Tiffin University women's track and field team opened the indoor season by competing at both the Oiler Open and Youngstown State Icebreaker this past weekend.

Oiler Open Results

The Dragons had numerous podium finishers including Elliott Pennell who placed first in the long jump with a mark of 5.60m. Tiffin also had the only three competitors in the mile with Ines Macadam finishing first and recording an NCAA Division II Provisional time of 4:59.52.

Junior Cassidy Vogt performed well, tying for first place in the high jump with a mark of 1.58m and finishing second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.07 seconds, just 0.11 off of the first-place finisher. Emily Curtice followed in fourth place with a time of 9.55.

Morgan Foos also ended in a tie for third place in the high jump with a mark of 1.53m followed by Curtice in fifth at 1.48m.

Moselle Punni placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 10.85m while Harley West recorded an NCAA Division II Provisional mark of 13.86m in the shot put, good for fourth place.

YSU Icebreaker Results

Liana Rodriguez placed 10th overall in the 400-meter with a time of 58.70. She was followed by Cassandra Uribe in 20th with a time of 60.34.

The Dragons had nine competitors race the 200-meter with Chelsea Janis and Uribe leading the field with 18th and 19th place finishes respectively. Janis finished in 25.96 with Uribe right behind at 25.97.

Tiffin now prepares to host the first Tiffin Open this coming weekend on Friday, December 8th.
