Rajiah Andrews picked a good time to set a new personal record.
Andrews shattered a personal record in the 100-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 13.45 to finish 6th overall at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships at CSU-Pueblo.
Her previous best was 13.81 seconds, set during the preliminary round on May 26.
The finish also gives Andrews a First Team All-American citation. Andrews's finish concludes her storied track career for TU. Previously this season she earned Second Team All-American honors in indoor track, placing 8th in the 60-meter prelims with a time of 7.47. She just missed Second Team All-American with a finish of 14th in the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 8.74. Andrews is now a seven-time All-American, five times in indoor competition and twice in outdoor covering both events.
In other finals, Brook Boes competed in the shot put, finishing 20th with a throw of 13.37 meters.
