Marisa Gwinner has been named CoSIDA Academic All District.

This marks the second time Gwinner has been named CoSIDA Academic All District following last year's honor. In 2021 she eventually was named Academic All American by CoSIDA.

She recently qualified for the NCAA National Championships in the high jump, a regular occurrence for Gwinner. Gwinner is a four-time indoor and two-time outdoor All American in the event who won the 2019 outdoor national championship. She has also won the GMAC championship in the event six times between indoor and outdoor seasons. She is currently 4th in the nation with a qualifying mark of 1.78 meters.

Gwinner, a Digital Media and Design major, was one of four GMAC athletes on the All District list.

The 2021‐22 Academic All‐District® Women's Track & Field / Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances in the competition realm and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First‐team Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot.

First‐, second‐ and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐June.
