Women's track team showcased at ONU, Georgia Tech

Tiffin University's women's track squad competed at Georgia Tech and Ohio Northern April 22-23.

Two provisional marks were hit at Georgia Tech. Ines Macadam took 10th overall while posting a 2:11.07 time in the 800 meters, while Mercedeez Francis came in 6th in the high jump with 1.69 meters. Brook Boes also placed 8th in the discus with 43.94 meters.

At ONU, TU was 5th of 12 schools. Findlay and Albion tied for the top spot with 161.5 points while Ohio Northern was third with 143.

TU had three runner-up finishes to lead the way. Samantha Smith was second in the pole vault with 3.50 meters, C'airra Carter was runner-up in the high jump with 1.63m, and Julia Springer was 2nd in the 800 in 2:27.01.

The 4x100 relay team of Arroyo, Battiste, Rembert, and Davis were third in 50.25.

The 4x400 relay team of Springer, Lindsey, Henegar, and Guggenbiller were 4th in 4:32.01, while Emma Zibbel was also 4th in the high jump with 1.45m. Destiny Sandlin was 5th (400 hurdles in 1:13.37) and Deona Davis was 6th (200 in 26.68).
