Eight first-place finishes highlight TU effort at Tiffelberg Open

Tiffin University had eight event champions at the Tiffelberg Open.

Leading the way was high jump winner Marisa Gwinner and runner-up Mercedeez Francis, who both hit NCAA provisional marks. Gwinner won with a leap of 1.75 meters, while Francis hit a 1.69 mark. 

Jazilee Williams was a winner in the 100 hurdles, crossing the line in 15.33. She also placed second in the shot put with 11.99 meters and third in the high jump with 1.64 meters.

Greta Macadam won the 1500 meters in 4:48.03, while Ines Macadam took first in the 400 meters in 58.30. Greta also took second in that race in 1:01.01.

Madeline Hayes was a winner in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.65 meters, while Brook Boes won the shot put with 12.10 meters and Harley West won the discus with 39.99 meters.

The 400 relay team of Amirah Strauther, Lily Hollibaugh, Sidney Richardson, and Rajiah Andrews also won in 48.74.

Finishing second on the day was Sidney Richardson (200 in 26.04), Samantha Smith (pole vault with 3.45m), and Boes (hammer throw with 45.78).

Taking third was C'airra Carter (long jump with 5.05m), Olivia Ward (pole vault with 3.30m), West (shot put with 11.75m), and Brittany Devall (discus with 36.05m).
