Women’s Track and Field finishes 5th at GMAC Championships

The Tiffin University women's track and field came in fifth at the GMAC Indoor Championship meet with a point total of 83.

Leading the way for the Dragons was Marisa Gwinner as she took the top spot in the high jump with an NCAA DII Provisional mark of 1.73 and Mercedeez Francis finished third with an NCAA DII Provisional mark of 1.68.

Rajiah Andrews became the GMAC Champion in the 60-meter dash with an NCAA DII Provisional time of 5.57. Andrews also came in fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.279.

The Dragons added to their GMAC Champion total when Ines Macadam claimed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.91.

Brook Boes came in seventh in the shot put with an NCAA Provisional mark of 13.38 meters.

Madeline Hayes hit an NCAA DII Provisional mark in the pole vault of 3.69 to tie for sixth.

Ines Macadam finished fifth in the mile run with a time of 4:59.01.

Amirah Strauther took third in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.93 and Rajiah Andrews in fourth with a time of 8.93.

In the triple jump, Aisha Brown finished fourth with a mark of 11.05, and DeChanelle Goins came in sixth with a mark of 10.95.

The squad of Richardson, Macadam, Roby, Macadam, Andrews, and Barnes took seventh in the 1600 relay with a time of 4:13.08.
