Williams wins GMAC Championship in heptathlon

A handful of events started on the first day of the GMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan, with Tiffin getting one champion on the day.

Jazilee Williams won the heptathlon with a near-record 4511 points. It nearly eclipsed her own record from 2019 of 4542 points.

Christina Znidarsic took third in the hammer throw with a toss of 47.94 meters, while Nicole Berry was 7th with 44.83.

TU also got points in the pole vault, with Madeline Hayes taking 7th with a clearance of 33.48. Lily Hollibaugh was 8th also with 33.48.

Competition takes off significantly on May 6.
