Women’s Track takes 3rd at Cedarville Invite

The Tiffin University women's track and field team had a strong showing at the Cedarville Invite, finishing 3rd in the 21 team field.

Dayton won the event with a 141 total, while Hillsdale finished just ahead of Tiffin with 121. The Dragons had 113 points while Cedarville was fourth with 90.

Nicole Berry took first place in the shot put with a throw of 14.82 meters (Provisional Mark), while two other Dragons - Christina Znidarsic and Alanna Ramsey - finished in the top ten. Znidarsic finished in sixth with a throw of 12.72 meters and Ramsey in seventh with a throw of 12.33 meters. 

Madeline Hayes came in third in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.52.

De'Chanelle Goynes placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 11.01.

Marisa Gwinner and company fared well in the high jump with Gwinner taking the top spot with a jump of 1.73 meters and Mercedeez Francis coming in third with a mark of 1.68 meters.

Alaura Holycross finish first in the hammer throw with a throw of 51.54, while Nicole Berry placed sixth with a mark of 47.12, and Christina Znidarsic came in sixth with a throw of 45.92.

The quartet of Nakyah Kennedy, Rayana Burns, Johnson Malana, and Sidney Richardson came in third in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 48.97.

Rajiah Andrews took first in the 100 meter hurdles and in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.58 and 11.94. Teammate Richardson came in fifth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.44, while also finishing fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.74.
