Lady Dragons finish third at GMAC Championships

Four championship performances highlighted Tiffin University's day two at the GMAC Championships, as the Dragons finished third of 11 teams.

Hillsdale won the overall event with 188 points, outdistancing Findlay's 148 and Tiffin's 130 points. Cedarville was a distant fourth with 59 points.

Two Dragons earned special distinction, bringing the most points to their team. Rajiah Andrews was named GMAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Meet, while Jazilee Williams was named GMAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet. Andrews accounted for 20 points at the tourney, while Williams totaled 23.

Rajiah Andrews won two titles on the day, taking the 60 hurdles in a provisional time of 8.70, while also winning the 60 in another provisional mark of 7.61.

Nicole Berry also won the shot put, hitting a provisional throw of 15.05 meters and joining Mercedeez Francis as a field champion. Francis won the high jump with a provo mark of 1.73 meters.

Tiffin had three overall placers in the high jump, with Marisa Gwinner taking third with a provisional mark of 1.70 meters while Jazilee Williams finished 5th.

Williams also came in runner-up in the 60 hurdles with a provo time of 8.78.

Ines Macadam took third in the 800 in 2:17.41, while De'Chanelle Goynes was 4th and Andrews 5th in the triple jump.

Sidney Richardson was 6th in the 200 and 8th in the 60, while Christina Znidarsic finished 7th in the shot put.

TU's 1600 relay team of Barnes, Sandlin, Macadam, Francis, Fox, and Richardson finished 5th.
