Women's Track and Field team Fares Well at Tiffin Dragon Invitational

The Tiffin Women's Track & Field squad hosted the Tiffin Dragon Invitational.

The Dragons did well in the field events as Nicole Berry came in first in the shot put, Jazilee Williams took first in the Heptathlon, and Amirah Strauther took first in the 60 meter hurdles. 

Field Events

  • Three Dragons finished in the top five in the weight throw with Alaura Holycross coming in third with a throw of 14.93, Christina Znidarsic in fourth with a throw of 14.61 and Ava Myers in fifth with a throw of 14.33.
  • Tiffin fared well in the shot put with Nicole Berry taking first place with a mark of 15.27 hitting a DII provisional mark, Christina Znidarsic came in fourth with a throw of 12.02 and Alaura Holycross placed fifth with a throw of 11.99.
  • Mercedeez Francis finished second in the high jump with a leap of 1.67 hitting a DII provisional mark.
  • Madeline Hayes placed fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.86 hitting a DII provisional mark.

Multi Events

Sprint Races

  • Amirah Strauther took first in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.05.
  • Sidney Richardson took second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.91. 
  • Ines Macadam finished fifth in the 400 meter race with a time of 1:02.74.
  • Rajiah Andrews finished fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.82.
