Women 4th at GLIAC Championships, Massey wins 60 meters

Tiffin University's women's track and field team jumped three spots from one year ago, finishing 4th of 10 teams at the GLIAC Championships.

Grand Valley State dominated the field, totaling 253.5 while Ashland came in at 117. Northern Michigan just edged out the Dragons for third place 79 to 73.5.

Kristen Massey was the lone individual champion for TU, winning the 60 meters in a provisional time of 7.65. Massey was one of 5 All GLIAC performers for the Lady Dragons, also finishing 3rd in the 200 meters in 25.08. 

Emma Gielink also landed All GLIAC honors with a 3rd place finish in the triple jump with 11.59 meters. She joined Miaisha Blair (2nd) and Shalbe Evans (3rd) in the long jump as All GLIAC honorees for TU. Gielink also finished 4th in the 60 hurdles in 8.98.

Hana Mehok was 5th in the shot put with 12.16 meters, while the 4x400 relay squad of Doss, General, Strickland, and Holbrook were also 5th in 4:02.19.

Also doing well for the Dragons were Adaysha Parker (6th in 400 in 57.71), Dalaney Rogala (6th in high jump with 1.58 meters), Sabrina Chupp (6th in shot put with 12.04), Blair (7th in triple jump with 10.81, 8th in 60 meters), and Mercedeez Francis (8th in high jump).
