Tennis Wins Two Against Purdue Northwest and Saginaw Valley

The Tiffin women's tennis team went 2-0 this weekend with a 4-3 win over Purdue Northwest and a 6-1 win over Saginaw Valley.  

Abbie-Jade Riley took the first match in the single matches winning both sets 6-0. Emily Sim won Tiffin the fifth single game, winning 6-1 and 6-0. Juliette Sirgant won her singles match, winning 7-6 in the first set and 6-3 in the second. Shea Foster and Alessandra Maganuco lost their matches in three sets, and Anais Geslin fell in straight sets.   

With the singles matches split 3-3 the Dragons won two of the three doubles matches. Emily Sim and Juliette Sirgant won 6-1 and Abbie-Jade Riley and Shea Foster won 7-6 to win the match 4-3.  

The Dragons won their second match of the weekend 6-1 by winning all six single matches. Abbie-Jade Riley won the first match 6-1, 6-1, then Anais Geslin won the second match 6-1, 6-2, teammate Alessandra Maganuco won her match 6-0, 6-4, Juliette Sirgant won 6-2, 6-4, Emily Sim won her match 6-3, 6-3 and finally Shea Foster won her match 6-1, 6-4. 

Saginaw Valley took two of the three doubles matches. The Tiffin duo of Abbie-Jade Riley and Anais Geslin won the first match 6-0. Saginaw would win the next two matches 6-1 and 6-4 against the teams of Dominique Matich-Reynolds-Juliette Sirgant and Jacqueline Kamps-Anna Makhneva
