Dragons Improve to 5-0 With Win at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio - Tiffin women's tennis kept their undefeated start to the season alive with a 6-3 win on the road at Oberlin College on Saturday afternoon.

The Dragons picked up two quick victories in doubles, as the No. 3 pairing of Jacqueline Kamps and Shea Foster rolled to an 8-0 win and the No. 2 duo of Lauren Prince and Juliette Sirgant won 8-2.

Oberlin came back with a tight 8-6 win at No. 1, but Tiffin went into singles play with a 2-1 advantage.

The Dragons wasted no time in clinching the match victory in singles play, taking the first three decisions with ease. Sirgant started things off at No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-1 win followed by Emily Sim at No. 3 with a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Kamps then secured the fifth point with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2.

Oberlin came back with two wins in the No. 1 and No. 6 singles matches, with both going to a tiebreaker. Courtney Fyvie took No. 5 singles in an exciting match, going to a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 win.

The Dragons will hit the road again tomorrow when they visit Northwood at 11:00 a.m.
