Women's Tennis Second in GMAC Preseason Poll

INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference released the 2020 Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday afternoon, and the Tiffin women have been selected to finish second in the conference.

Hillsdale sits atop the poll with 35 points and five first-place votes, but Tiffin is not too far behind with 30 points and two first-place votes.

Walsh is third with 26 points, followed in order by Findlay (23 pts), Cedarville (16 pts), Kentucky Wesleyan (10 pts), and Ursuline (7 pts).

Last year, the Dragons finished the regular-season 5-2 in conference play, earning the 3-seed into the GMAC Championships where they fell to 2-seed Walsh in the semifinal.

Tiffin earned four All-GMAC honors for the 2019 season as well, and all four are back for the 2020 campaign with Abbie-Jade Riley and Emily Sim on the First Team and Lauren Prince and Juliette Sirgant on the Second Team. Tiffin also returns high-level player Anais Geslin after she missed the 2019 season with an injury, as well as last year's No. 6 Shea Foster and a pair of newcomers in Courtney Fyvie and Jacqueline Kamps.

The Dragons are off to a 3-0 start in 2020, with nonconference play continuing through mid-March. GMAC matches begin on March 28 at Findlay, with the GMAC Championship scheduled for April 24 and 25.
