Dragons cruise past Oilers 8-1

The Women's Tennis Team at Tiffin University has been cruising through competition since their loss at Northwood earlier this season. The Dragons dropped their first GLIAC match of the year to Northwood and have since rattled off 10 straight wins to put the team at 12-1 overall on the season and 10-1 in the GLIAC. The Dragons weren't going to let rival Findlay get in their way on Saturday, winning 8-1.

TU started off strong with 3 straight doubles wins to open up the match. None of the matches were even close as the Dragons dominated on all fronts with the 1st doubles team of Kaye and Nelhage taking 1st doubles 8-3, Musina and Sim taking 2nd doubles 8-2 and Avram and Brozovich blanking the Oilers 8-0.

Singles was much of the same, all TU, all match as the Lady Dragons took 5 of 6 singles matches to finish 8-1. Nelhage took a 6-3, 6-2 win at 1st singles over Matina Matic while Musina cruised at 2nd singles to a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Tijana Raicevic. Emily Sim didn't drop a game at 3rd singles in her 6-0, 6-0 win over Sheridan McLean while Bianca Avram won her 4th singles match 6-2, 6-2. Aimee Kaye won easily at 5th singles 6-2, 6-0. TU's lone loss was Sarah Herald who fell 3-6, 4-6 to Kristi McDonald.

TU advances to 12-1 overall and 10-1 in the GLIAC. The Dragons will head to Midland, Michigan on the 28th for the GLIAC Championships.
