Tiffin Blanked by Saints in Final Road Match

The Dragons (1-7-5, 1-6-3 G-MAC) traveled to Crestview Hills, Kentucky for their final road matchup of the season against Thomas More which ended in a 3-0 defeat.

Tiffin tallied nearly the same number of shots on goal as the Saints, 8-6, but was unable to find the back of the net.

Thomas More struck first with a goal in the 16th minute to take a relatively early 1-0 lead in the match. Roughly seven minutes later, TU came close to leveling the match through Amanda Feury but her shot was well saved.

Less than a minute later, the Saints fired a shot off the cross bar and after continued pressure, scored to take a comfortable 2-0 advantage. The Dragons had just one more shot on target before heading into the break down two goals.

TU pushed to get itself back into the match with two on-target shots within the first 10 minutes of the second half, first from Kaelyn Harkness and then Caysee Burk. However, the Thomas More goalie was equal to both of them.

The Saints virtually sealed the victory in the 64th minute with another goal to extend the lead to three goals.

Tiffin returns home for its final four matches of the season, beginning with homecoming weekend where the Dragons take on Lake Erie on Friday, October 20th at 12 p.m.
