Kristen Dickison has come a long way from her Tiffin University debut season in 2020.

After transferring to Tiffin from Urbana, Dickison scored just one goal over 10 games. Contrast that to her 2022 season, when she finished 2nd in NCAA Division II in goals with 19.

During her historic season, she set new TU Division II records for season goals and points as well as a new TU Division II career record with 30 goals. She is also second all time for TU in Division II points with 63.

Nationally Dickison is second only to Lila Dere of Colorado Mesa's 22 goals. Dere scored those 22 goals on 110 shots, while Dickison netted her 19 on just 63 shots.

Dickison placed high in the national rankings in game-winning goals (3rd), 5th in goals per game and total points, and 8th in points per game.

"I am so proud of what Kristen has accomplished this season," said TU Head Coach Michael Cracas. "She has worked extremely hard and deserves all the recognition that she receives. She has set the new standard for forwards here at Tiffin. It has been a tremendous pleasure to watch her development as a player and an individual over the past two years."

Dickison, who was a Second Team All-Midwest Region and All GMAC selection last season, figures to garner some more honors in 2022. She nearly doubled her goal amount (10 goals in 2021 to 19 in 2022) while doing the same for her point totals (22 points to 39 points).

"I liked the culture on campus and the business program," said Dickison. "That is what attracted me to Tiffin. I wanted to start and help the team. In 2021 I was able to boost my confidence, and I saw at the end of that season that I was second in goals in a season. That gave me more motivation to come back both for myself and the team. I felt that in my second year I had a better connection with the team, and that helped me throughout the season."

Further growth as a player has also seen benefits with the team overall, as the Dragons finished with 8 victories in 2022, their most wins in 10 years. The team continues to improve and just missed a GMAC tournament spot this season.

"I wanted to see the team improve," said Dickison. "We wanted to prove people wrong about where we would finish and show improvement, and we have done that. The coaches helped me improve both in the mental game and as a scorer."

The magnitude of Dickison's accomplishments in 2022 still has not yet sunk in.

"I am grateful to be in this position," said Dickison. "It hasn't hit me yet. I am so thankful to the coaches and my teammates for helping me reach my goals."
