Dragons Score Five Second Half Goals in Comeback Win over Lake Erie

The Tiffin University women's soccer team (5-5-2, 3-4-1 GMAC) scored five second-half goals to beat Lake Erie 5-1 in conference play.

In the first 45 minutes, the Dragons found themselves down 1-0 despite outshooting the Storm 8-7, more shots on goal 3-1, and more corner kick opportunities 2-0.

The Dragons came out at halftime strong as they scored a goal in the 48th minute as Kristen Walker hit a long shot from the right side of the goal that popped up over the keeper's hand and in the net.

The goal gave the Dragons energy as they had several great scoring opportunities to take the lead but Mikayla Talbot scored in the 70th minute off the head of Kaelynn Harkness to put Tiffin up 2-1.

TU poured it on as Talbot scored her second of the game off an assist from Amanda Feury to extend their lead to 3-1 in the 72nd minute. Ellie Adams scored off a cross from Amanda Feury to give the Dragons a 4-1 lead.

The final goal was scored by Caitlyn Spencer who got a pass back from Amanda Feury around the 18-yard box that she hit right-footed into the top left hand of the net to seal the win for the Dragons.

Tiffin outshot the Storm 27-9, with 10 shots on goal compared to the Storm's two, and had more corner kick opportunities 5-0.

Andrea Parker got the win in goal for the Dragons as she improved to a 4-2-1 record, and had one save through 45 minutes of play.
