The Tiffin University women's soccer team fell 3-0 to conference opponent Ashland.
The Eagles started quickly on a cold and windy Ohio night as they scored in the 7th minute of play to lead the Dragons 1-0. Then, Ashland doubled their advantage in the 25th minute and would hold a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The Eagles outshot the Dragons 15-4 in the first half with 5 shots on net compared to the Dragons' 2. Ashland had more corner kick opportunities with five compared to Tiffin's three.
Ashland stayed strong defensively and was able to add a third goal in the 75th minute to lead 3-0. The Eagles went on to win the game 3-0.
The Eagles outshot the Dragons 23-6, had 12 shots on goal compared to the Dragons' three, and had nine corner kick opportunities compared to Tiffin's five.
Malea Nelson took the loss in net as she falls to 0-6-1. She recorded nine saves in 90 minutes of play in net for the Dragons.
