Dragons Prepare to Host Walsh and Malone

The Tiffin University women's soccer team will host conference opponent Walsh on Thursday, October 7 with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m. Then, on Saturday, October 9 they face Malone for a 2:30 p.m. start.

Dragon Details: 

The Dragons went 1-1-1 last week in conference play, tying Trevecca Nazarene and beating Kentucky Wesleyan on Homecoming 3-0.

The Dragons' offense is led by reigning GMAC Player of the Week Kristen Dickison who scored four goals and one assist in three games last week, bringing her total to 5 goals and one assist on the year. Kim Nagel is also having a stellar season as she has one goal and four assists and newcomer Hannah Rittenhouse has recorded two goals so far this season. 

Tiffin has two capable goalies on their roster with Molly Miller and Malea Nelson. Miller has started three games, played 453:21 minutes with a 1.99 goals-against average and a .773 save percentage, while Nelson has also started three games, playing 380 minutes with a 2.13 goals-against average and a .780 save percentage.

 

Scouting the Cavaliers:

Walsh was 1-1 last week with a win against Lake Erie.

The Cavaliers' offense is led by Sabrina Ortenzi having registered two goals and two assists, Gina Gildea has recorded two goals, and Hannah Stein also has two goals. 

Starting goalie for Walsh is Romina Parraguez who has started eight games with a 1-5-2 record, 2.25 goals-against average, and a .703 save percentage.

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Cavaliers 19-8-2, with their last meeting coming on April 1, 2021, when the Dragons won 2-1.

 

Scouting the Pioneers:

Malone went 0-1-1 last week with a tie against Lake Erie. 

The Pioneers are led by Madeleine Ault who has scored three goals and Savannah Ebin who recorded two goals so far this season.

In goal for the Pioneers is Jessica Morgan who has started seven games this year posting a 0-5-2 record, a 2.55 goals-against average, and a .750 save percentage.

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Pioneers 10-3-3, with their last meeting coming on April 6, 2021, when Malone won 1-0.
