Women’s Soccer Cruises Past Kentucky Wesleyan on Homecoming Day

The Tiffin University women's soccer team defeated the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers 3-0 on Homecoming day.

The Dragons improve to 1-6-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the GMAC, while the Panthers fell to 3-5 overall and 0-4 in the GMAC.

The first half was a tight affair with neither team able to break the 0-0 deadlock. The Dragons outshot the Panthers 11-4, with a 6-4 shots on goal advantage for Tiffin. TU also had more corners 3-1.

Tiffin's offense exploded in the second half as Kim Nagel scored a header off a free kick taken by Emma Lennig to lead 1-0 in the 50th minute.

In the 53rd minute, Kristen Dickison was awarded a penalty and converted from the spot to double the Dragons' advantage. 

The Dragons weren't done yet as Dickison scored a second time off a cross from Kim Nagel that gave the host a 3-0 lead and first conference win of the season. 

The Dragons dominated play, outshooting their opponents 21-4, and forcing the keeper to make 11 saves.

Molly Miller got the win in goal as she played 90 minutes and made three saves for the Dragons to help secure the clean sheet for Tiffin.
