The Tiffin University women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Illinois-Springfield.

The Prairie Stars struck first in the 23rd minute to lead 1-0. In the second half, Illinois-Springfield doubled their advantage with a goal, shot from outside the box.  

The Dragons got on the board in the 82nd minute as Maya Burggraf headed the ball into the net off a corner taken by Kim Nagel. 

Despite a better second half from the Dragons having four shots and six corners the Dragons were unable to force overtime to give the Prairie Stars the 2-1 win.

Overall TU was outshot 14-8 while tying UIS 6-6 on corner kicks. 

Malea Nelson took the loss in goal, making 5 saves over 90 minutes.
