Women’s Soccer hands Walsh first loss 2-1

The Tiffin University women's soccer team defeated Walsh University 2-1 in regulation.

The Dragons improve to 2-2-1 while the Cavaliers fall to 4-1. 

With Walsh coming in undefeated the Dragons knew they had to start strong and that they did as Lily Cady scored the game's first goal 6:25 into the game assisted by Kim Nagel to put the Dragons up 1-0.

Walsh answered fifteen minutes later with a goal by Haley Dancer off a corner kick by Faith Estes to tie the game at 1-1.   

The first half ended 1-1 with Walsh having the advantage in most of the stats, outshooting the Dragons 11-6 and leading in corners 3-1. 

The second-half adjustments were the difference for Tiffin as Kaelyn Harkness scored a 1-on-1 chance off a long ball from Mikayla Talbot to lead 2-1. 

The Cavaliers outshot Tiffin 8-5 in the second half and had one corner but the visitors failed to score, giving the Dragons the 2-1 win.

Marissa Nugent was great in goal for the Dragons as she had eight saves in her first win of the year.
