Bryan LaVearn has been named GMAC Wrestler of the Week.

LaVearn, nationally ranked in his weight class at 157 pounds, was dominant on his way to winning a title at the Findlay Open.
 
The senior from Michigan is currently ranked No. 12 by Intermat wrestling. Over the weekend, LaVearn won five straight matches to take the top spot at the Findlay Open. 
 
In those matches he had an opening decision against West Liberty, UIndy and host Findlay. The score against West Liberty was 14-10 and against UIndy it was 11-5. LaVearn defeated returning NCAA All-American James Wimer from Findlay, 3-1.
 
LaVearn was not done there as he also pinned a competitor from Mercyhurst in 5:26 and then finished it off by taking first with a score of 5-4 over a grappler from Division I Ohio University. 
 
Tiffin travels north to Lake Erie to compete in the Storm Open on Sunday, October 24.
