Dragons turn up the offense in 16-11 win at Madonna

Tiffin University (4-4) turned up the offense on a road trip to Madonna, winning 16-11.

Tiffin opened with a 4-0 lead and pushed it to 6-1 midway through the first quarter. A goal by Madonna early in the second quarter narrowed the score to 7-5 but Tiffin took command over the rest of the quarter, outscoring Madonna 5-0 to lead 12-5 at halftime.

The Dragons continued to control the draw controls, expanding their lead to 15-5 in the third quarter on the way to the victory. 

TU held a commanding 20-10 edge in the draws while also winning the ground ball battle 30-22.

Gabrielle Beals had a huge game, scoring 5 goals with an assist and nearly breaking the single-game TU record for ground balls with 12. TU's record is 13 held by Kaitlyn Clarke in 2012.

Gabby Wilson nearly broke another long-standing record, collecting 18 draw controls along with 2 goals. Taylor DeMaio set the TU single-game mark with 20 in 2011.

Katelyn Jarvis had 3 goals and 2 assists with 6 ground balls, while Caylin Kunze also had 3 goals. Lillian Graham had 2 goals.

Jenay Rennie got the win in goal, making 10 saves.
