Second half dooms Dragons at Findlay 16-7

Tiffin University (1-11, 1-4 GMAC) could not overcome a low-scoring second half, falling at Findlay 16-7.

TU trailed at the half just 7-5, with Daniela Carey and Rylee Sutherland accounting for 3 goals and 2 goals, respectively, in the half. 

After finishing the first quarter tied 3-3, Sutherland tallied a goal that put TU ahead 4-3. The Oilers, though, answered with four straight goals to take a lead that they would not relinquish.

In the second half, TU managed just two goals and 7 total shots. Overall they were outshot 35-21 including 19-7 in the second half.

TU was also plagued with 25 turnovers, with UF holding a 31-23 ground ball advantage. The Dragons managed just 7 of 16 clear attempts, while the Oilers were successful on 14 of 16.

Carey led the Dragons with 4 goals overall along with 5 draw controls, while Rutherland finished with 2 goals. Gabby Wilson also scored a goal.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 12 saves.
