Dragons fall to Oilers 19-10

Tiffin University (1-8, 1-1 GMAC) could not keep pace in the second half, eventually falling 19-10 to visiting Findlay.

The Dragons battled the Oilers to a 3-3 tie after one quarter, with Daniela Carey and Rylee Sutherland opening with goals to give TU a 2-0 lead. Findlay then scored three in a row before Sutherland tallied another goal to equalize heading to the second quarter.

Angela Lulejian scored twice in the second period, along with goals from Jenny Bates and Gabby Wilson, but the Oilers tallied six goals to take a 9-7 lead into halftime.

Findlay pulled away with a big third quarter, outscoring TU 7-2. They also outshot TU 14-4 in the period, building a lead that TU could not erase. 

Overall Findlay outshot TU 42-22 including 22-12 in the second half. They dominated the draw controls 24-8, including a 15-3 margin in the first half.

The Dragons had 24 turnovers, allowing the Oilers to keep up their attack and dictate the overall tempo.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 16 saves over 60 minutes.

Wilson led the Dragons with 3 goals and 6 draws, while Lulejian had 2 goals and 2 assists. Sutherland added 2 goals and an asssit, and Carey had 2 goals.
