Tiffin University (0-3) played its home opener against Notre Dame but could not pick up its first win of the season, falling 17-4.

The Dragons could not get the offense moving in the first half, falling behind 12-0 by halftime. The Falcons held a 10-2 shot advantage in the opening quarter, leading to a 3-0 lead.

The Falcons then blew the game open in the second quarter, outshooting TU 14-2 and adding 9 more goals to their score.

Tiffin had 12 turnovers in the first half while forcing just 7 from Notre Dame, while the Falcons also won the draw control battle 8-4.

TU got its first goal at 9:26 of the third quarter when Angela Lulejian scored off a pass from Rylee Sutherland to make it 13-1.

Sutherland added her own goal at the 2:36 mark off a free position shot. Jenny Bates followed shortly thereafter with an unassisted goal. That brought the score to 15-3 at the end of the third quarter.

Tiffin's final goal came in the final quarter from Daniela Carey.

Overall TU was outshot 35-13 and had 18 total turnovers. Notre Dame also won the draws 14-9.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 10 saves in 56 minutes. Alex Sklack also played in goal for the final 3:32.
