Hamilton, Rennie take top honors on All GMAC team

Nine Tiffin University women's lacrosse players were honored with selection to the All GMAC team as selected by the conference coaches.

Top honors went to Elle Hamilton and Jenay Rennie. Hamilton was named Midfielder of the Year, while Rennie was named Goalkeeper of the Year.

Hamilton leads the GMAC in goals per game and points per game while also leading the conference in ground balls per game and draw controls. She is third in caused turnovers. She is a four-time All Conference honoree, earning two honors from the GLIAC and two from the GMAC. She previously earned GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 2017 and GMAC Player of the Year in 2019.

Rennie has had a breakthrough season as a freshman, leading all GMAC goalkeepers in GAA with 12.24, save percentage with .483 (nearly 100 points higher than her nearest competitor), and saves per game with 9.25. 

Joining Hamilton and Rennie on the First Team is midfielder Daniela Carey and defender Rebecca Nolan.

Carey was second on the team with 31 goals and 13 assists for 44 points. She also had 41 draw controls. She was fifth in the GMAC in goals and sixth in assists and total points. 

Nolan was the leader of TU's defense and team captain. She was 8th in the GMAC in caused turnovers. Tiffin's defense led the conference in saves per game and save percentage and was second in GAA.

Second Team selections were attacker Danielle Roberts, attacker Rylee Sutherland, midfielder Leah Davis, and defender Regan Rich.

Roberts was fourth on the team with 23 goals, 7 assists, and 30 points. She was 9th in the GMAC in goals and 6th in total shots.

Sutherland was fifth on the team with 16 goals, 8 assists, and 24 points. She was 8th in the GMAC in assists.

Davis was third on the team with 28 goals, 4 assists, and 32 points. She was 7th in the GMAC in goals per game.

Rich played in all 15 games and was a valuable contributor on both ends of the field.

Maria Boccia was also a Third Team selection at defender. She was third on the team with 9 caused turnovers.
