Tiffin University (5-8, 4-2 GMAC) was unable to pick up a rematch victory against Walsh on Senior Day, falling to the Cavaliers 19-13.

TU, which had lost to Walsh earlier this season 13-11, had a chance to win the GMAC regular season championship with a win. The win also would have given the Dragons the right to host the GMAC Tournament May 6-8. Instead, a three-way tie at the top of the GMAC standings between Walsh, Findlay, and Tiffin (all with 4-2 records) will lead to Walsh hosting the tourney, as the Dragons dropped both head-to-head matchups with the Cavaliers.

The game was close over the first 15 minutes. Tiffin got the first two goals by Rylee Sutherland and Leah Davis, but Walsh quickly equalized with two goals of its own. A free position goal by Elle Hamilton put TU back up 3-2, but again Walsh scored immediately to tie it.

Davis added another free position goal as TU led 4-3, but Walsh responded over the next 12 minutes by scoring six of the next seven goals to take a 9-5 lead with 2:00 left in the half.

Needing to close the gap before halftime, TU bounced back with goals by Davis and Jenny Bates to cut the deficit at halftime to 9-7.

Walsh wasted no time taking control of the game in the second half, scoring within 45 seconds of the start of the half and putting 7 unanswered goals on the board to jump out to a 16-7 lead with 19:00 to play.

Tiffin tried to put some offensive runs together but they could manage to get no closer than 5 goals the rest of the way. The Walsh defense limited TU's attacks, outshooting them 33-22 while also forcing 18 Dragons turnovers. Walsh also won the ground ball battle 17-10 and were 15 for 15 on clears.

Sutherland and Davis led the attack with 3 goals and an assist apiece, while Hamilton had 3 goals, 11 draw controls and 3 ground balls. Bates had 2 goals, Daniela Carey had a goal and assist with 7 draws, and Avery Dean also had a goal.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 7 saves over 60 minutes.
