Tiffin University (3-6, 2-0 GMAC) used a massive second half to blow out Findlay, turning a close game into a big win as the Dragons won 18-9.

The Oilers controlled the tempo early, building a 5-2 lead with 16:20 left in the first half. The Dragons turned the momentum, though, scoring four of the next five goals to take a 6-5 lead with 10:19 left in the half.

Danielle Roberts, Leah Davis, Elle Hamilton, and Jenny Bates all scored goals in that run, with Daniela Carey getting assists on the last three goals, foreshadowing the run that TU would put together in the second half.

The Dragons led at the half 10-8, with TU holding an 18-14 shot edge. A 12-7 edge in draws also fueled TU's run just before halftime.

TU clamped down defensively after halftime, allowing just 9 shots and not surrendering a goal until 8:39 was left in the game. By that time, the Dragons had scored 8 straight goals to build a 18-8 advantage that had put the game away.

Carey had a career day, with Hamilton just behind her to lead a devastating assault. Carey finished with 5 goals and 4 assists for 9 points along with 7 draw controls. Hamilton tallied 6 goals and an assist for 7 points while also getting 9 draws, 6 ground balls, and 5 caused turnovers.

Davis had 3 goals with 2 assists and 3 draws, while Bates, Avery Dean, and Tonesty Burt also had goals.

TU held a 17-9 second half shot lead, and overall they outshot UF 35-23. They were 12 for 14 on clears, and dominated the draws 19-10. They also connected on 7 of 11 free position shots.

Ariel Gold was strong in goal, making 11 saves over 60 minutes to get the win. Seven of those saves came in the second half as TU allowed just one goal in the half.
