Interview with Coach Brown

Tiffin University and Findlay were picked as preseason co-champions in the GMAC preseason coaches poll, with each team garnering 23 points and 3 first-place votes each.

"This year we are returning the majority of our starting lineup," said Coach Brown. "In the midfield, we have senior Elle Hamilton who is a great leader on and off the field for us. We are also returning Ashley Osbeck, Dani Carey, and Leah Davis on the attack end. Our defense is not seeing much change either with Nini Wagner, Rebecca Nolan, Maria Boccia, and Hannah Casey all returning."

The Dragons, who finished 2019 with a 12-7 mark, were unbeaten in the regular season with a 7-0 mark to win the regular-season championship. It was Findlay, however, who escaped Tiffin with a narrow 9-8 victory in the GMAC Tournament Championship game. This year, however, the Dragons hope to build off of their strong 2019 season.

Here is what Coach Brown has to say about the upcoming season: "This year we have Liv Ghent who is coming back from an injury in her freshman year and we expect big things out of her on both ends of the field. In cage we have Maeve Gatenbee who has really stepped up her game in this preseason. Emily Chapman is one of our freshmen who we expect to have a large presence on the attack end of the field. Cerrese Bejarano, Delaney Stimson, and Regan Rich are some faces we are also looking to incorporate into our defense. We're looking to have Dani Roberts and Josie Brown spend a lot more time on the attack end for us as well. This year we want to see more collaboration out on the field and finish the season the best we can be."
