Tiffin University (0-1) fell behind early in the first half and could not catch up, falling to Florida Tech 17-9 in their season opener.

Tied 2-2 five minutes into play, Florida Tech put together a 5-0 run over the next 10 minutes to take control of the game. Taking a 7-2 lead, Florida Tech took a 10-3 lead into halftime.

The Dragons, who were outshot in the game 31-22, traded goals with Florida Tech throughout the second half but were unable to put together a run to get the game closer than 6 goals the rest of the way.
