Schumacher Tallies Second Tournament Victory of the Year

Lisa Marie Schumacher took first place out of a total of 84 golfers at the 2023 William Beall Fall Classic in Findlay, Ohio.

Schumacher ended day one in a tie for first place and shot a 74 in the final round which was enough to take first overall by one stroke with a one-under-par for the tournament. The Dragons ended in a three-way tie for sixth place with Ferris State and Missouri – St. Louis with a total score of 935.

She was followed by Jordan Van Meter who shot a 71, her best score of the tournament, and ended in a tie for 32nd place. Abby Thompson also recorded her lowest score in the third round with a 78, putting her in a tie for 43rd overall.

Jeanne Dolle scored an 82 for the third round, totaling 249 for the tournament which was good for 63rd. A pair of Dragons finished in a tie for 77th as Alexis Zimmer and Abby Davis both ended with a total score of 264 after rounds of 84 and 86 respectively. Sydney Ott improved by 10 strokes from her round two score to end in 82nd place.

Tiffin now has roughly a three week break to prepare for its next challenge at the Bill Crabtree Invitational in Owensboro, Kentucky on October 22-23.
