Alice Putoud became the first Tiffin University women's golfer to reach the NCAA Division II National Championships.

Putoud finished 10th overall as the Dragons placed 5th at the NCAA East Regional played at Prairie View Golf Course in Carmel, Indiana. She was one of three individuals not from qualifying teams to make the cut. She finished with another consistent round of 76 following rounds of 77 and 75 for 228 total.

Putoud will now compete at the National Championships May 11-15 at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 72.

Indianapolis won the regional with 890, pulling away from second-place Findlay (912). Grand Valley State was the final qualifying team with 925, edging out Missouri-St. Louis (928).

Tiffin had a tough third round, shooting 329 after two opening rounds of 313 (955 total).

Amanda Johansson finished with 240, falling from 77 to 85 on day three, while Emily Koehler shot 242 (82-75-85). Bella Harris rounded out the field with 245 (76-86-83).
