Tiffin University has been selected its third NCAA Regional.

For the third consecutive season, Tiffin University's women's golf team has been selected to the NCAA East Regional.

The team, which also earned trips in 2018 and 2019, will make a return trip to the East Regional played at Prairie View Golf club in Carmel, Indiana.

The Dragons, coming off a 2nd place finish at the GMAC Championships, will be seeded 5th in the East Regional, improving upon their 6th place seeding in 2019. Due to Covid-19, there was no NCAA Regional in 2020. The Dragons were seeded 9th place at their first qualification in 2018.

The seedings for this year's regional have Indianapolis ranked first, while Findlay (2nd) and Grand Valley State (3rd) round out the top three. Missouri-St. Louis (4th) is also seeded just ahead of TU.

The University of Indianapolis is serving as the host of the East Regional, and it will be played May 3-5.

The NCAA announced the field for the four Super Regionals, in which 9 teams and 4 individuals will compete at each location.

The top three teams along with the top three individuals not with a team from each super regional will advance to the championships. The championships will be held May 11-15 at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 72.

The Dragons have enjoyed another stellar season, posting Top 5 finishes in every invitational they have competed in. They finished first at the Cumberland Trail Golf Classic on Sept. 20, the Tiffin University Fall Invite on Oct. 11, and the SVSU Spring Invitational on March 21, while also finishing 2nd at the GMAC Championships on April 17.

The Dragons are led by Alice Putoud (76.00 average), Amanda Johansson (79.05), Emily Koehler (79.47), Alexis Savage (79.68), and Bella Harris (80.16). Over their 8 tournaments, they have posted a 311.79 team average.

"As a team we are extremely grateful for the opportunity to compete for the 3rd time at the NCAA Regional Championship," said Head Coach Brittany Brownell. "With last year unexpectedly cancelled due to COVID I am very thankful to Tiffin University and also to the NCAA for working so hard to make sure we could compete this year and have championships.
Three of our top five players will be graduating next week, and qualifying for the NCAA Regional event is a great achievement for them and also our team!"
