Dragons in 3rd after first day of Beall Classic

Tiffin University improved in round two, cutting 8 strokes off their round one total, to finish third of 8 teams after day one of the Beall Fall Classic played at Findlay Country Club.

The Dragons opened with 322 but cut it to 314 in round two to post a score of 636. Indianapolis leads the field with 598 followed by Findlay with 614. Walsh is hot on the Dragons' heels with a 638 score.

Alice Putoud was making her presence felt, settling at 2nd place and just three strokes off the lead. She opened with 76 and then turned it up with a low of 70 to tie for the best score of round two. Overall she finished with 146.

Amanda Johansson and Jordan Van Meter tied for 20th overall, with Johansson posting even rounds of 81 for 162. Van Meter opened strong with 77 but fell off to 85 in round two for her 162 total.

Emily Koehler and Alexis Savage both shot 170, with both players showing big improvement in round two. Koehler shot 88-82, while Savage shot 89-81.

Bella Harris also placed 23rd as an individual, shooting 79=84 for 163, while Kaylynn Adkins shot 183 and Emily Bogner finished with 186.
