Dragons open Cumberland Trail Classic on fire

Emily Koehler led Tiffin University's women's golf team in their season debut at the Cumberland Trail Golf Classic, as the Dragons finished day one on top.

Tiffin led the 8 team field with a 304 total, well ahead of Gannon's 315 and Malone's 318. The Classic was played at the Cumberland Trail Golf Course in Pataskala, Ohio.

Koehler led the field with a low of 71, while Alice Putoud was right behind with 74 (good for a tie for 3rd place).

Jordan Van Meter also finished in the top 10 overall, tying for 7th with 79, while Amanda Johansson was next with 80. Bella Harris finished fifth for TU with 83.

Alexis Savage competed as an individual and finished tied for 17th with a score of 82.

Play will conclude on Sept. 20.
