Strong day two places Dragons in first place

Tiffin University cut 13 strokes off its day one totals, streaking into first place at the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff.

The Dragons hold a 5 stroke lead over Walsh 643 to 648. Ferris State is in third with 660.

Tiffin opened with a 328 on day one with Alice Putoud leading the field but the rest of the Dragons well back of her. Day two was a different story, as the quartet of Bella Harris, Amanda Johansson, Alexis Savage, and Emily Koehler combined to cut 23 strokes off their day one scores. 

All five Dragons are situated in the top 14 heading into the final day March 7. Harris improved from 85 to 78 for 163 (10th), while Koehler also cut 8 strokes going from 88 to 80 for 168 (14th). Johansson rose to 11th overall with 164 (84-80) and Savage improved by 3 strokes with 167 (85-82 for 13th place).

Meanwhile, Putoud continues to lead the field in 1st place with 151 (74-77).
