Tiffin University's women's golf team got off to a solid start at the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff in Wesley Chapel, Florida, finishing second after the first round.

Walsh is leading the event but by just five strokes, 323 to 328. Ferris State is 10 strokes back in third with 338.

Alice Putoud leads the Dragons with a low of 74, leading the field by five strokes. The next four for TU had a close group score but were more than 10 strokes behind Putoud. Amanda Johansson shot 84, while Alexis Savage and Bella Harris tied with 85. Emily Koehler was right behind with 88.

Tiffin had other golfers competing as individuals. Emily Bogner shot 92 for 27th place, while Melissa Gabriele shot 97, Kaylynn Adkins shot 103, Sophia Compton fired 116, and Ashley Franklin shot 130.
