Tiffin University's women's golf team is off to a red hot start in 2019-20, as the latest Golfstat national rankings attest.

Tiffin was ranked 37th in Division II, its highest national rank ever, while also landing the 5th spot in the East Region. With three outings under their belt, the Dragons have set a high standard for the rest of the season.

As a team Tiffin has twice set new team scoring marks. The first time was at the University of Indianapolis tournament with a 295. A week later, they set a new mark with a 292 at the G-MAC Fall Preview, good for second place overall.

In their most recent outing, the team won the Cumberland Trail Golf Classic. Alexis Savage set a new individual school record with a 66 at the UIndy tournament and Emily Koehler came close to matching it with a 69 at the Cumberland Trail Classic.

"I am very proud of the hard work the team has put in over the summer," said Head Coach Brittany Davidson. "We came off a record breaking spring, where we missed qualifying for the NCAA Championship by 8 strokes. As a team we have seen what hard work and perseverance will do. We are hungry for success and will continue to work hard throughout this fall and into the off-season to reach our goals."
