Lady Dragons sitting 10th after two rounds at Indy

Tiffin University's women's golf team competed at the UIndy Fall Invitational, placing 10th of 15 teams after two rounds.

The big story for the Dragons was the marked improvement between rounds one and two. Tiffin opened with a 321 mark but then chopped 26 strokes off that total for a second-round 295, the lowest team score in school history. Overall TU shot 616. Saint Leo led the field with 581, followed by Findlay's 584 and Indianapolis's 590.

Alexis Savage had a rollercoaster day, opening with a low of 87 but then dramatically reversing herself in round two by cutting 21 strokes off her score, firing 66 in the round and posting the second best score in the field in the second round. Her 66 was only one stroke off the course record. She missed leading the field by just one stroke and finished with 153 on the day.

Amanda Johansson improved from 79 to 75 over her two rounds, finishing with 154 while Bella Harris was consistent with two rounds of 77 for 154. Emily Koehler had the toughest second round, shooting 78 but falling off to 85 in the second round for 163, while Alice Putoud also had a tough first round with 87 but sliced 10 strokes off her second round for 77 and a 164 total.

Play concludes on Sept 10.
