Tiffin University had a solid opening round at the Saginaw Valley Spring Invitational at Kearney Hill Golf Course, finishing in third place.
The Dragons trailed only Findlay (304) and Northwood (305) in the 23 team field, shooting 308. Wayne State was right behind with 314 while Northern Michigan was next with 315.
Alice Putoud was in fifth overall with a team-low of 74. Amanda Johansson and Emily Koehler were right on her heels with identical rounds of 76. Alexis Savage was fourth for TU with 82 while Melissa Gabriele was fifth for the Dragons with 87.
Play will conclude on March 17.
