Dragons in the hunt after day one at Belmont

Tiffin University was 10 strokes back of the lead after day one of the Battle in Belmont played at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan.

The Dragons fired 321, trailing Wayne State's 311 and Lake Superior State's 315. Only 8 strokes separated the five TU golfers, including just a 3 stroke margin amongst the top four.

Melissa Gabriele and Alice Putoud were tied for the team lead and in 6th overall, shooting 79. Sarah Herb was right behind with 81 while Staci Ludwig had 82. Emily Koehler was just off that pace, finishing with 87.
