Dragons rise to 4th on final day of Gannon Invite

Tiffin University had a strong second round, trimming 14 strokes off their day one score to finish 4th of 23 teams at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic hosted by Gannon University.

The Dragons improved from 325 to 311 on day two to shoot 636. Ashland won the event with a 623 score, followed by Kutztown's 629 and Franklin Pierce's 633.

Sarah Herb continued her strong performance from day one, improving from 75 to 74 to finish just one stroke off of medalist honors with 149. Melissa Gabriele also had a superb second round, chopping 10 strokes off her score (82-72) to finish next for TU with 154.

The other Dragons stayed steady with their day one performances, as Alice Putoud jumped from 84 to 82 (166), Staci Ludwig chopped a stroke off (84-83 for 167), and Emily Koehler stayed even (87-87 for 174).

TU will now travel to the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Preview Sept. 15-16.
