Tiffin University's men's cross country squad looks to begin a climb to join the top cross country schools in the GMAC during the 2020 season.

The Dragons finished 5th last season but with the Covid-19 pandemic shutting down the 2020 spring season early, the coaching staff turned their full attention to recruiting. The result is one of the deepest and most talented young squads TU has ever seen.

"There is a pretty big gap in the GMAC between the top three or four teams, and the teams that follow them," said Head Coach Jeremy Croy. "We think we can close the gap to fourth this season. This is really the first step towards competing with the top teams in the conference. We want to narrow that gap."

Leading the way is Nathaniel Ondracek, who finished 17th at last year's GMAC Championships, along with Jordan Hill and Josh Jaster.

The returners will be joined by many talented newcomers, including Heath High School's Dylan Hammond, Hatboro-Horsham High School's Jaylen Lasseter, Bellefontaine High School's Nate Murphy, and Nordonia High School's Jaden Wimbush

The team will open on Sept. 25 at the Findlay Open before returning home for the Tiffelberg Open on Oct. 2. They return to the road at the Redstorm Classic at Rio Grande on Oct. 9 before hosting the GMAC Championships on Oct. 24.
