Tiffin University (5-3) picked up a narrow 4-3 win over 14th-ranked Carnegie Mellon, pulling out a three-set singles match to put the victory away.

TU got the doubles point after taking two of three matches. Matthew Weaver/Ruben Fonga clipped Matthew Poh/Raahil Doshi 6-4, and Cyrille Colomb/Matthew Telford defeated Nicholas Wernink/William Wang 6-3. TU's loss came at third doubles, where Jaden D'Abreo/Michael Fourchy just edged out Daniel Martinez Roca/Ryan Gase 7-5.

Matthew Telford blasted past Raahil Doshi 6-1, 6-1 to put TU up 2-0, but CMU's Nicholas Wernink pulled out a tough three-set victory over Matthew Weaver 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-7) to make it 2-1, Tiffin. The Dragons then took the next two singles match to clinch it, with Ruben Fonga edging Brandon Aprill 6-3, 6-1 and Cyrille Colomb outlasting William Wang 1-6, 7-6 (8-6), 1-0 (10-6).

TU fell in the other two singles matches. Matthew Poh shaded Daniel Martinez Roca 6-4, 6-4, and Jaden D'Abreo beat Mattia Colli 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).
