It was a good day to be a Dragons' men's tennis player.

After securing the third seed in the GMAC Tournament, TU (10-7) traveled to Oberlin for a pair of matches, winning both matches by 6-1 margins.

Match 1:

TU took two of the three doubles matches. Mike Gurtner/Matt Telford shut out their opponents 6-0, while Hugo Chatras/Ben Szarek posted a 6-3 win. Nate Mansor/Hayden Parisien fell 6-3.

In singles, Chatras won easily 6-0, 6-1, while Cyrille Colomb battled to a 7-5, 6-3 victory. Ryan Gase scrapped for a 7-5, 2-6, 10-3 win, and Alex Thatcher came from behind to win 2-6, 6-2, 10-5.

Timothy Richardson served up breadsticks in a 6-1, 6-1 win, while Devon Paige suffered the lone setback 6-1, 6-1.

Match 2:

Again the Dragons took two of three doubles matches. Joe Gilman/Chatras won 6-1, and Gurtner/Colomb posted a 6-4 win. Telford/Gabriel de Oliveira fell 6-4.

Gurtner enjoyed a 6-2, 6-2 singles win, as did Nair Adi in a 7-5, 6-1 battle. Gilman won 6-1, 6-3, while Telford also won 6-1, 6-3. Matt Saunders suffered a narrow 7-6, 7-6 defeat, and Tom Blaquiere got TU's final win 6-2, 6-1.
